Sustainable Development Solutions Network proposes action agenda for sustainable development, with a focus on integration

arton4321The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) has issued a report to the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, entitled An Action Agenda for Sustainable Development. The result of extensive consultations, the report focuses on integration and identifies ten challenges for the post-2015 process

 

End Extreme Poverty Including Hunger
Achieve Development within Planetary Boundaries
Ensure Effective Learning for All Children and Youth for Life and Livelihood
Achieve Gender Equality, Social Inclusion, and Human Rights for All
Achieve Health and Wellbeing at All Ages
Improve Agriculture Systems and Raise Rural Prosperity
Empower Inclusive, Productive and Resilient Cities
Curb Human Induced Climate Change and Ensure Sustainable Energy
Secure Ecosystem Services and Biodiversity and Ensure Good Management of Water and Other Natural Resources
Transform Governance for Sustainable Development

The Annexes outline the proposed sustainable development goals (SDGs) for 2030 and their contribution to the main four dimensions of sustainable development –economic growth and the end of poverty, social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and good governance – and include a Q&A on the proposed SDGs.
